Website & Mobile Apps
The Freeuse LeicesterShire website and mobile apps are designed to provide a straightforward, easy-to-use process for giving or taking items so that they don't end up as landfill.
Having started as a local project in North West Leicestershire, the Leicestershire Waste Partnership* commissioned Cuttlefish to overhaul, redesign and rebuild the site and it was launched as a county- and city-wide project in December 2009. The iPhone and Android apps followed, also built by Cuttlefish, and to date the project has prevented some 105 tonnes of waste from going to landfill.
*The Leicestershire Waste Partnership is made up of the seven Leicestershire Districts or Borough Councils and Leicestershire County Council. Leicester City Council is also an Associate Partner.
