The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service focuses on proactive measures to prevent incidents, minimise their consequences if they occur, and ensure timely and appropriate responses when assistance is required.

We were asked to create a new website to best showcase their fantastic work and community initiatives, whilst maintaining accessibility and usability for their visitors.

A Redesign that Saves the Day!

LFRS is dedicated to upholding high standards to ensure the safety of the public and this included refreshing their website to provide clearer messaging. We collaborated closely with the LFRS team on their requirements and provided ways to modernise the interface and streamlined navigation for users.

With a branding guideline provided, our design team had a clear roadmap to follow, ensuring that the visuals were impactful and straightforward.

Putting Safety on the Map

We built an incident map so that the LFRS Communication team could present updates on notable situations across the county. Road traffic collisions, fires, domestic incidents etc are all plotted along with details on the attending fire station and actions performed.

Cuttlefish have provided a fantastic service as we transitioned to a new website. Recognising that our old website was tired and outdated, we set out to create a modern, efficient website to better engage with our communities and deliver important information. Cuttlefish worked with us every step of the way, understanding our needs and developing a fresh new design.

Inclusivity was a priority with our new website, ensuring it offered a user-friendly navigation. Cuttlefish worked on bespoke features such as our interactive incident map and ensured we had everything we needed. The site adapts seamlessly across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. We have also retained the ability to translate our content into multiple languages so we can best serve our diverse communities.
